Week 6 (4/1/2017 – 4/7/2017) 2.4 pounds lost
- Weight: 313.6 lbs (down 2.4 pounds)
- Body Fat%: 39.8 (down 0.4%)
- Body Mass Index: 39.19 (down 0.3)
Even though I didn’t have as much weight lose this week, I feel it’s been one of my best week’s yet. Kelli and I had to go shopping for new pants! When I started all of this, I was wearing a size 44-waist jean with a belt that was cinched to its last hole. After this past weigh in though, I finally gave in and bought some new drawers 🙂 We went to Gordman’s thinking that I’d still need to get a pair in their Big and Tall section. But, I actually got into a pair of size 40 jeans in the “normal” section 🙂 (woooo-hooooo!!!!) This weekend served as a reminder of the importance of tracking more than just my weight. All of my other measurements were down: waist, iliac crest, chest, and abdomen were all down.
My weight is one measurement of my overall progress, so please don’t get discouraged if you’re not seeing movement in your weight. How do you feel? Do you have more energy? Are you getting better sleep? Are you tracking more than just your weight? The Keto drinks from Pruvit along with the Keto diet and a regular exercise routine are helping me out in all these areas.
One more thing – I mention in the video the protein bars from Costco. These are actually OK: I just didn’t understand the difference between net carbs and the total carbs on the nutritional facts label. Food labels show total carbs and then break down each type of carb. In Costco’s protein bar, 15 grams of the total 22 grams came from fiber. Fiber isn’t digested, so it doesn’t trigger glycolysis like normal carbs would.
